Unfortunately the weather hasn't been great this year for early spring growth. Color looks nice but here's what the lawn looks like as of April 30th. I haven't yet applied Synthetic Nitrogen (just one round of organic N via Milorganite).
I set this up to track my progress on converting my MN front lawn from a mix of RyeGrass, Fescue and KBG to 100% KBG mix of 33/33/33 of each of the following cultivars - Midnight II, Kingfisher, Bewitched. Also 2015 new seed 33/33/33 Award, Bewitched, Prosperity (Seed Super, Seed Super, Pawnee Buttes)

4/23/11 - Weed ID
I think I might have a little bit of POA in the new reno. Fortunately the patch is small enough (and the only one I see so far) that I can likely pull it by hand and allow spreading to take over or plant one of my remaining 4 pots from last fall.

April 16 2011 - Grass greening + snow
I don't understand why our winter has been so long this year. Last year at this time I had probably mowed 3 times and fertilized by now.

April 1st 2011 - Snow Clears
This is the first picture after the snow cleared. You can see the thin spots of grass showing through but you can also see how green the grass is compared to all the neighbors. Not bad for the first spring of it's life.
